Celebrate Dance Festival 2008 ~ FREE

Celebrate Dance Festival promotes the regional dance community to residents and tourists of San Diego by presenting performances, classes and workshops in a wide range of styles, ethnic backgrounds and abilities, at no charge to the public, in an accessible center for arts and culture, Balboa Park.

Celebrate Dance Festival seeks to enrich the cultural heritage of our region and promote San Diego as a cultural destination.

A Brief History
Eveoke Dance Theatre founded the annual, free Celebrate Dance Festival in 1996 with support from Balboa Park.  Eveoke has used many different locations throughout the park, while the 600-seat Casa del Prado Theatre and the outdoor Prado Stage have continued to be the anchor attractions for many festival events.  Street performers, photo exhibits, dance classes, workshops and lectures have augmented more then 75 performances during the 4th weekend of August each year.
