Work Trade Program

Eveoke Dance Theatre's Work-Trade Program is for students over the age of 18 who want to study dance on a regular and consistent basis and want tuition assistance. Admittance into the Work-Trade Program is based on:

1) Financial need
2) Commitment
3) Reliability
4) Work competency

Work-Trade participants will be able to exchange work hours for classes. The work trade exchange rate is as follows:

Work 2 hours= 1 class the following week
Work 3 hours= 2 classes the following week
Work 4 hours= 3 classes the following week
Work 5 hours= 4 classes the following week
Work 6 hours= unlimited classes the following week

In this way, work trade participants control on a weekly basis how many classes they will have 'in the bank' for the following week. There is no carryover of classes. Classes earned must be used in the following week- NO EXCEPTIONS!

Work tasks may include and are not limited to:

1) Canvassing
2) Cleaning the studio
3) Data Entry
4) Front Desk assistance
5) Thank you card making
6) Babysitting
7) Filing
8) Office clerical work such as folding/ stapling/ copying/ collating, etc.

Work trade participants may work Monday-Saturday.  Work trade hours can be scheduled in advance with Erika Malone, Programs Director.

When you show up to work, check in with the front desk manager to receive a work-trade assignment. You may also check the list at the front desk that says work trade assignments. Begin with the first task on the list and work your way down the list. When you are done working, write down the number of hours you worked on the Work-Trade sign in sheet. Ask one of the Eveoke staff to initial your entry. You may come in as many times during the week as you would like to work. The proper number of classes will be credited to your account on Monday of the following week. After a trial month, you can be accepted into the work-trade program.
